ITEA stands for International Theater Equipment Association which is the trade group for the cinema equipment industry. Members are manufacturers, dealers and some major circuits such as Showcase and AMC. The "convention" is small, usually around 90 - 125 people, in a semi-relaxed setting to network, talk shop, and hear the latest trends and dirt......this year should very different with the flame out of MTS and retirement some high profile people recently. Through the year the group runs several seminars at trade shows and a separate one in Los Angeles for industry people such as architects, cinema owners to find out what is state of the art....and what the state of the industry is in. I belong to three other allied trade groups which help me to figure if I am crazy or I have a group other
people in the same condition
