I found it on a local newspaper, I scan it few months ago...

Let's check the sound system used...

Variety does not have SDDS. Another theater of the same chain has SDDS and on newspapers can found

- New sound system "Sony Digital Dinamic"

(dinamic was not a typo!).

The person that was supposed to be our teacher to become projectionist told to 120 people that SDDS means

"Sony Digital Double Side" because there is soundtrack on both side of the print...

Bye
Antonio

The cheese in the amplifiers improve the damping specification It reminds me of the "Dobly" sound system advertised at a cinema in Argentina ( Eprad clone equipped ).

I hate it when people can't get little technical facts like that correct. It just bugs me. Take for example, the explanation of symbols on the My Yahoo! movie listings:

() - discounted/bargain shows.
* - Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS)
** - Digital Theater Surround, Dolby (DTS)

What the phug is the last one supposed to mean!!? Do they think DTS and Dolby Digital are the same format? Do they think DTS is the name of a format produced by the company Dolby? Are they just trying to say that a title with two asterisks is presented in either DTS *or* Dolby Digital? I emailed Yahoo about this almost a year ago. I got an automated response, and they obviously have not corrected it. Grrr...
