Author Topic: Surf Theater, Huntington Beach CA ?? I noticed that CinemaTour is missing information or pics regarding the Surf Theater in Huntington Beach, CA. The Surf was an old single-screen theater. When my family moved to that area in the early 60s, the Surf was the only movie house around. I suspect The Surf wasn't noted for perfect presentation: I remember seeing the "inemaScop" logo at the start of a movie there . They had a Saturday morning "Pal Club" where kids got in for like 50 cents, and on your birthday they gave you a free giant Hershey's bar. The biggest "event" movie I remember opening there was "A Hard Day's Night".
