While chanel surfing about a month ago, I cam across a program on MTV called Music In High Places. This particular episode featured The Goo Goo Dolls touring Alaska and performing live accoustic versions of their hits. I'm kicking myself for not having taped it. I searched the online TV listings for future airings, but nothing came up.

About a week or two ago, I saw a commercial for the same program on my landlord/roomate's satelite Pay-Per-View. I don't know what service he has, but my dad has Dish Network. I asked him to search his listings, and he couldn't find the show.

Several quesions here: Does anyone know exactly what this show is? Is it a series, or a one-time special? If it's a pay-per-view event, what was it doing on MTV? And, most importantly, does anyone have it on tape and would you be willing to make me a copy? Thanks!

Ken, I hadn't heard of the show, but I was curious so I did some research. Apparently it was a series produced by and aired on MTV. Many of the episodes, but not a goo goo dolls episode, have been released on VHS and DVD. Click here for the amazon listing.

Wow!! That is really awesome. Looks like the series features artists performing live in various places around the world. Can't wait until the release the Goo Goo Dolls ep. on DVD! Thanks for the link.

DirecTV had been doing these for free on channel 103.

I'm not much on country but 2 years ago they had Wynonna in Italy doing unplugged versions of her songs and they were great. I could kick myself for not taping it. I see it is available on VHS & DVD.

This month they have INXS in concert.

I first thought this was a one time special when I first say it a few months ago with Ryan Adams in Jamaica. They played that one over the next month about 15 times or so. I've only seen another episode with Unwritten Law as the guest in I believe Texas and have yet to see the Goo Goo Dolls episode. Odds are it will be on again.
