Just noticed some stills from "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" have an elf that looks like a relative of the Kodak "Brownie" elf of a century ago:

here Kodak Brownie Camera Ad
here Harry Potter elf "Dobby"
here Harry Potter elf "Dobby"

Hmmm, maybe Dobie is a "third cousin on me mothers side"
Thanks for the Brownie link, I still remember how excited I was to receive my first "real" camara at the age of 7; of course it was a "Brownie"! Wish I still had it, I still have some of the photos from my first roll of film tucked away in a small child sized photo album.
