First we had "The Country Bears," a complete waste of film. Coming soon: "The Haunted Mansion," and I just got a one-sheet for "Pirates of the Caribbean," which:

- Stars Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush
- Is directed by Gore Verbinski
- Is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer

Pretty high-powered people for a theme-park-ride movie. What's next, "The Enchanted Tiki Room?" They've already made a video movie out of the "Tower of Terror."

Personally I'd like to see a movie based on the Rock'n'Roller Coaster. The critics could review it as a "roller coaster ride" and be telling the truth!

I would like to see a horror movie based on a happy Disney ride that goes terribly wrong. Probably "It's a small world" propelling the riders into a parallel dimention where they are the only real people and everyone else is anamatronic midgets out to kill the "warmbloods" [Razz]

The box-office failure of Disney's Treasure Planet may cause the studio to rethink its role as the industry's leader in animated features, some analysts are indicating.
----------------------------------------------------------------

If just those kind Disney-people would accept the fact, we hear "out there in theaters" - what audience expect from a Disney-movie:
Cute, fluffy animals, singing and speaking and wearing clothes.
Not-to-scary to the youngest, fun to the older movie-goers.
Lion King, Tarzan, Jungle Book, Aristocats did great;
Pochahontas may have done well, but send audiences disappointed home, Hercules was a stinker and now Treasure Planet bombs.
Signals readable without big exams. Somebody please tell them not to throw away 70 years of being number one by trying to please grown-ups instead of the real Disney-audience !

Does it count if some operations are "Mickey Mouse" outfits?

Reminds me of the old joke, A rich guys son asked for a Mickey Mouse outfit for Xmas, so he bought him the White House.

Maybe Universal and Disney can co-finance the next Chucky movie so he can set it off at Disneyland. [Big Grin]

FWIW Jerry Bruckheimer's production company is based at Disney.

So are the women in "Pirates of the Caribbean" going to be running with or without platters of food? [Big Grin]

(How many of you get that reference?) [Confused]
