No, they didn't spike your Film-Tech coffee with LSD. 20th Century Fox has given the greenlight for Mad Max 4 and MGM wants to ring the bell for Rocky VI.

Just what we need -- more sequels of burned-out franchises!

Darryl S: George Miller bought the rights to Mad Max back from WB so he wouldn't have to do some schlock movie that flopped. Fox will distribute since Mel Gibson's production company Icon is now based there.

I wonder what the poster art for "Mad Max 4" will look like? Will Max be holding a bottle of Geritol instead of a sawed off shotgun?

Will Rocky be using a walker to prop himself up during the big fight?

Horror of horrors! Last week's Time Magazine mentions a possible GREASE 3 in the works with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Does that mean "Grease 3: Class Reunion". So if Grease was set in
1958, that makes it 45th class reunion as of 2003 [Eek!] .

Columbia Pictures has optioned the rights to make a movie based on HOT WHEELS. (Yes, those little toy cars) [Roll Eyes]
Hot Wheels will be directed by McG, the filmmaker behind "Charles Angels" & its sequel. McG said he planning a movie with "all the warmth & humanity of your favorite James Dean movie with the state-of-the-art visual effects and the hottest collection of automobiles ever brought to the screen".
