I see now that when you edit a message it shows that the message has been edited. I thought it was policy to not have those messages. When did that change [Confused]

You have an hour to correct bad grammer and mispellings and such. After that it stamps the time/date of an edit.

Brad, look at my post on the Film Handler's Forum... Drive-In Ramp Height.
It was stamped 'edited' after just seven minutes. [Confused] Are there likewise a limited number of changes you can make before it gets stamped? I often reword passages several times for clarity and brevity.

It shouldn't have done that Tim. You should be able to edit it an unlimited times that first hour without any sort of stamp.

Like all modifications, give it time to work out the bugs.

Now who's the idiot that wrote that script? You'd think they'd get it right the first time.

And once again, I can't reproduce the error. Figures. So many variables, so little memory. Maybe I'll get off my wallet someday and buy a debugger.

I know of some forums that let you edit as many times as you want without the tag at the bottom UNTIL someone replies. Anytime you edit after that it tags the post as edited. Maybe the 7-minute case decribed above was something similar?

Joe, I've seen what you are talking about with phpBB forums. I don't know if UBB can do it. It would be nice though.
