From our local free paper:

HOLLAND: Police stopped a car on a motorway near Rotterdam because they feared for the safety of a dog hanging half out of the car window.
But the driver told officers" Don't worry ,the lead is tied to the handbrake. If the dog jumps out the car will stop automatically" [Eek!]

The man was breath tested and faces charges of being over the limit
