There was a nice article in the CityPages, a Twin Cities weekly, about Film-Tech member Bill Carter and his efforts to keep a Downtown theater open in the age of the megaplex. Click here to go to article

Mark my words. The day will come when these older downtown theatres will become "the place" to see a film. Whether it be multi-plex burnout or digital fallout, it will happpen. I only hope there will be some around when this trend occurs. [Frown]

Hey Bill,

Very very VERY cool story! Congrats on your theater. I only wish there were theaters like that in Victoria!

Good luck, Bill. From someone who has reopened theatres in rural towns, I can empathize with your plight! BTW I'm impressed Irv B is still working hard.
