You can buy a Golden Globe nomination. You can buy an Oscar nomination. You can't buy a Razzie nomination -- you've got to earn it!

This year's nominees are sure to please moviegoer young and old. But why would they have Adam Sandler for 2 movies when he was in 3 last year?

So, Charles, is that why Miramax was only represented with one movie this year---because they couldnt BUY a razzie for their other? If you think about, with an award like the RAZZIES, you should be able to buy NOT being named in a slot. Guess Miramax didnt have any more than one stinker this year. Pretty good job, Miramax!

BTW, Adam Sandler may have been in three movies, but PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE was a good one, underserving of mention here.

BTW, tomorrow is the big day! We'll be able to see just how much Miramax spent to buy those nominations. Whew! I'm sure glad all the other studios are ethical enough not to spend a DIME on this yearly horserace! [Big Grin]

Where the heck is Master of Disguise? Did that few people actually sit through that piece of crap to vote it as such?

The Master of Disguise did get a Razzie nomination -- supporting actress (Bo Derek).

BTW did anyone notice that new category "Most Flatulent Teen-Targeted Movie"? Scooby-Doo was not aimed at teens. Neither was Eight Crazy Nights.

After watching the first 20 minutes of Master of Disguise, I thought it would have swept the razzies this year. Go figure.... [Confused]

Swept Away is the lowest-grossing Razzie winner ever! ($598,645) The AMC Hamilton actually dropped Igby Goes Down to open Swept Away. [Embarrassed]
