Kodak Theatre was named Theatre of the Year at the 14th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards Ceremony held Saturday evening at Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland entertainment complex in Hollywood, California.
By defeating other finalists Beacon Theatre (New York, NY), Chicago Theatre, (Chicago, Il), Fox Theatre (Atlanta, GA), Ruth Eckerd Hall (Clearwater, FL) and the Universal Amphitheatre (Universal City, CA), which has won this title seven of the ten years is has been awarded, Kodak Theatre claims the prestigious designation in its first full year of operation.

"We are proud to be partners with AEG and thrilled with their incredible staff that manages this renowned facility."
Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland is the permanent home for the Academy Awards® ceremonies, and is seen by millions of television viewers around the world. Opened in November 2001, the theatre has held many high-profile live theatrical and concert events including the American Ballet Theater’s production of The Nutcracker, Sesame Street Live, the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet, Blues Clues and performances by Barbra Streisand, Prince, Celine Dion, Dixie Chicks, Stevie Wonder, Harry Connick Jr., Barry Manilow, Melissa Etheridge, and Elvis Costello. Kodak Theatre is also a cultural center that has featured artistic performances for the Chinese, Korean, Persian, Armenian and Russian communities. Additionally, numerous nationally televised specials have emanated from the theatre, including AFIs June 2002 Life Achievement Award Tribute to Tom Hanks, the 2002 BET Awards, the ESPY Awards, "American Idol" finale, Lifetime Television’s Women of Rock concert, and the live television broadcast of the Latin GRAMMY Awards. Kodak Theatre is managed and operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).
