Posts: 10973 From: Lawton, OK, USA Registered: Apr 2001 posted 03-17-2003 06:58 PM                     According to a report on CNN, Oklahoma has now surpassed Nevada on the highest per capita rate of divorce in the nation. I'm only mentioning this to update something I said in a past Valentine's Day thread regarding the state having #2 rank at the time. Some other notable #1 ranks for OK: * #1 in crystal-meth production * top ranked state for lowest teacher pay * OK is home to the worlds largest tire factory * OK has the largest bomb making facility in the world (the munitions plant in McAlester, a 70 square mile facility that makes almost every non-nuclear bomb used by the US military). I refuse to believe that Oklahoma is home to the world's largest tire factory. That is crazy and insane. I will not stand for it. Perhaps this would be a good place to mention the Exploding Whale, which I am sure everyone has seen, but is worth re-watching from time to time.  |  IP: Logged Paul G. But you would wind up taking out part of Fort Sill in the process. And then you would have to be an opening act on tour with the Dixie Chicks!  |  IP: Logged
