At least Hawaii has more than one member with Chris Markiewich of Kamuela on the big island of Hawaii and myself participating here at Film Tech. Although he is now based in Los Angeles, does Chris Siu count because his heart is still here in the islands where he was born and raised? [Big Grin]

There was one other guy from Montana who posted, he was a real Carmike-hater, but he hasn't been around lately that I've noticed.

There's one other lurker I know of who works for Wallace Theatres in Bozeman. But I think I'm the only Montana participant at this point!

Denver wins as we have Jeffrey Skallan, Nate Lehrke and Nicolas Rovnoski (sp?) and you just cannot compete with that. Oh wait... I am also in Denver. That brings our state back down. Waaaay down.

I know that I'm not Maine's only film-techer, but the others lurk more than anything else!
Oh well.

There are over a dozen Pennsylvanians on this site and probably triple that in lurkers. Randy Stankey up in Erie and Glenda Cockrum down in Monaca are about the closest to my little piece of Hell's half acre.

would it be in some way unethical to compile the data from the registration records and post them, without naming anyone? maybe that would take the fun out of it. how about a map with pinpoints for members? or color-coded for density of members? or member density over population density? or number of posts by geography? a world map could be done too. who has a lot of free time?

Is it possible to set up a poll to count?
Yeah, a poll with 50 answers might be a bitch. It would only count those people who actually post on the forums... AND who took the time to answer the poll. But at least it's a start.

Or, maybe we could let :evans: GREP the forum registration records! [Big Grin]

I dunno'... Just spitballin'. [Smile]

I think there are a few others from the Dakotas, at least one lurker who helped me find some rectifiers [Smile]

Nevada has at least three posters from Las Vegas (Chris, Dennis, and myself), and at least a couple of lurkers (Dave and Tom). Haven't seen posts from anywhere else in the state yet.

There's at least three other members from Oklahoma besides me who post here from time to time. Forgive me for not remembering the names, but I do remember the theaters. Which member names go with these theaters?:

Cinemark Tinseltown 20 & IMAX 3D theater, Tulsa
Hollywood Spotlight 14, Norman
Cinemark Tinseltown 20, Oklahoma City

I think I'm the only one from Lawton (however, there are a few Lawton lurkers who read some discussions from time to time).
