Okay...as far as covers are concerned...the guys in this mellow rock band are playing songs like:

Hotel California (Eagles)
Creep (Radiohead)
Lucky (Radiohead)
Otherside (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
What's Up? (4 Non Blondes)
Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)
Patience (Guns N Roses)
You Can't Always Get What You Want (Rolling Stones)
Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd)
Foolish Games (Jewel)
Leavin' On A Jet Plane (John Denver)
Candle In The Wind (Elton John)
Cat's In The Cradle (Harry Chapin)

Please help me find similar types of music. I need names of songs and their respective artists.

Covers they want?

“Let It Grow” by Eric Clapton, from 461 Ocean Blvd. and many greatest hits albums.

“Shooting Star” by Bob Dylan, I forget the album but it is also on the Wonder Boys soundtrack (or maybe “Things Have Changed” from the same album)

“South Side” by Moby, from Play. Great hook!

“Any Major Dude” by Steely Dan, from Pretzel Logic

“Change Your Mind” by Neil Young, from Sleeps With Angeles. Not all 15:00, though.

As long as you’re doing a John Denver tune: “Farewell Andromeda”

“Rock ‘n Roll Fantasy” by The Kinks (but not until the band decides to break up).

“Don’t Look Back in Anger” by Oasis, from What’s the Story, Morning Glory If any band has ever deserved the title “The New Beatles”, it’s these guys. Too bad they hate each other’s guts. Might be a little loud, but a great song and a huge singalong crowd pleaser whenever I’ve seen them in concert.

and my personal favorite: “Walk Away Renee” originally recorded by the Left Banke, subsequently covered by almost everyone, easily one of the most recorded songs in pop/r&b history, but always a great song at any tempo.
