Oddly enough the Marble Theatre in Marble Falls, Texas is another theatre to go bye bye The last showing was this past weekend, but they will have one more show on July 17,18 and 19 for the final farewell. The feature will be "The Last Picture Show" I have photo's from the theatre taken just 3 weeks ago when they opened 2 fast 2 furious, which was the last picture they were able to book prior to the Driftwood theatre opening.

Know the Robins Cinema in Camberley well.

Opened in 1932 by County Cinemas, named the Regal. Taken over by Odeon in 1936, renamed Odeon in 1946.

Taken over in 1967 by Classic Cinemas and converted into three screens. Classic became Cannon in 1985, and within a short time Robins took over the Camberley lease from Cannon.

All projectors Westar (Century) & Westrex sound. Westrex double sided Towers. Xenon Peerless in screen 1, Orcon’s in screens 2 & 3.

Sadly another cinema closes in the South next Thursday 10th 2003, the 3 screen ABC Cinema, Aldershot. Opened in 1937 as the Ritz with 1800 seats and an organ. Multiplexes are planned for the Aldershot & Camberley areas.
