Paul, ditto for companies that produce alcoholic beverages. They are still advertising on television, too, getting the kids early. "Oh, boy, look what a good time I can have by drinking that beer! My friends will look up to me... and just look at all the babes that will think I'm cool!"
[thumbsup]

I don't think Tim's post is relevant The smoking ads are like the auto manufacturers that continually lure people into a "fast" car with their stupid commercials that show dangerous activity and think just cuz they put a "disclaimer" that they are exempt.

Phil, maybe I missed the point a little, but it seems as though alcohol consumption is still galmorized by the TV ads. Kids pick up on this, and think it is cool.

Luckly, TV and roadside ads on booze are getting scarce in many states. But there are a few (I presume) that still target kids.

Am I still in the stone ages on this matter? [Confused]

People that drink and get into trouble are held responsible for their actions by their insurance premiums or in the courts.

People that smoke and/or drive irresponsibly affect us all by higher med and insurance premiums to us ALL.
