Just curious if there is anything going to be added or done special to it. I think the release date is September 19th. It started with about 500 in the audience and ended with about 90. I'd never seen it but I think Maltin hit on the head saying it's way too loooong and not very interesting. I saw the movie at the Waikiki #3 when it was firt released and I did not like the movie at all. It was a so so gangster film and I have seen much better ones before. I was also very annoyed by the excessive profane dialogue. I am no prude when it comes to the use of the 'F' word if it is used a couple of times in a film but when it is use in almost every sentence, I find that very excessive and offensive. The knowledge that we have worked with more subcontractors should not be unexpected. But I agree that movie just drug on & on & quickly wore out any interest. Snoop Dogg, Sean "Puffy" Combs and one other rapper said this movie had a major impact on hip-hop. Only big-city megaplexes are getting this re-release; they include the AMC Empire in New York and the UA Riverview Stadium in Philadelphia. The ad in this week's Village Voice says the re-release is in DTS/Dolby Digital and for one week only. Shamefully, Focus Features and Universal did not develop a website for Scarface.
