Author Topic: LAN Troubles? Joe Redifer You need a beating today Posts: 12859 From: Denver, Colorado Registered: May 99 posted 09-29-2003 07:33 PM                        I have a weird predicament. I have both a Mac (OS 9 and X) and a Windows 2000 Professional PC behind the same router. On the PC, it does not load images linked from some forums, like when someone puts and image in their post. However these same images load up just fine on the Mac. Before you scream "Your PC SUXORZ!", my Mac cannot download an entire trailer from Apple.com (ironically). It usually gets between the 1st 5 seconds to maybe 45 seconds worth. NEVER the whole thing (doesn't matter which browser I use). But the PC has no problems downloading the entire trailer (any of them) on the first try. These experiences are consistent. What could cause this? I'm pretty sure the browsers are set up correctly.  |  IP: Logged Don Bruechert Mmmmmmmmm, bird! I was gonna say it was a browser security setting, but I see you think your setup is correct. I note this problem most often with Internet Exterminator because there are so many doo-dads to check or uncheck in the settings it is mind boggling...
