There is a guy on another internet site who is selling CURRENT DTS disks for $5 per title. He has a list of about 15 titles. Some of the titles on his list include The Rundown, School of Rock, you get the idea.

Would it be appropriate for me to post the guy's email address here so several hundred film-techers could write to him and chew him out for doing this? Or would that be a bad thing? Or could this be legit somehow?

There are already a few people who have answered his post with chew-outs.

I have a feeling that the guy is gone. Maybe he got the idea.

Whenever the heat comes on, that kid runs and hides, but he always returns on some website or another. He has a history of selling items that could only have been stolen from a first run theater (such as current dts discs) and turns up an amazing quantity of theater equipment (usually the kind that probably wouldn't be noticed if it was to vanish), yet he refuses to produce a serial number if you request it. (To put it not so bluntly, the kid is selling stolen items.) He was banned long ago from Film-Tech for this practice.

Here is an example:

For Sale: Pixar's "Knick Knack" cartoon. this cartoon is in flat and is in good shape. $130 includes shipping. please email me directly if you have interest.
Hmmmm, wonder what feature THAT was stolen off of? [Roll Eyes] Like I said, obvious theft.

It amazes me when other forum Admins permit that sort of thing. As to providing his email address, let's not do it. He won't listen anyway.
