Just wondering if any of you kids are showing The Greateful Dead Movie on Wed. October 7/03. It's in theatres for just the day. And if so what kind of shape are the prints in. [beer] Jesse

The movie is playing in Vegas at the REG Village Square 18. The movie is actually being broadcast via satellite and is being run on the Christie L6 digital projector. You can more info about at http://www.regalcm.com

Please provide more technical details on the Regal presentations:

Video data format? (HD, NTSC, 60I/24P, 16:9 or 4:3?)

Sound format and number of channels?

Live? Recorded?

It's a 70's era film transfered to digital, so it has to be good. Right? That's all you need to know. Big screen premiere of "The grateful Dead Movie" co-directed by Jerry Garcia.
Everyone should go get tickets before they sell out. Pack up the kids for a fun 70's celebration,. It is tonite, Oct. 7th, 2003 at 7:30PM. What are you waiting on?

Unfortunately I do not know all the specs except that it will be 16:9. I know they played the KORN concert last year and they had concert level sound but I do not if it was 6 channel or not. They did have people moshing in the theatre.
