Hi,

I plan to be taking a lot of photos for CinemaTour through the following cities in New York at the end of this month: White Plains, Yonkers, Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Utica, Rome, Syracuse, Rochester, and any nearby these that I may drive through. If anyone here owns or works at a cinema around those cities and would like the inside of your theatre photographed too please reply here so I can get in touch with you.

Roger, maybe you can take a picture of the building that's at 38 Centre Ave, New Rochelle, NY. It's listed as some kind of tree maintenance place now, but it used to be a theatre up until the early 40s.

In the interim, it was home to the Terrytoons cartoon studio.

Centre Avenue crosses I-95 almost exactly between exit 15 and 16, in NY. The building is a short distance east of that point. I go through NYC on I-95 daily, and would love to see that building myself, but I can't get my tractor-trailer rig in there.

Tim,

I will get a photo of that one. Do you know what that theatre's name was? I do not have a theatre with that address in my records. However I have three listed in New Rochelle with no address: the Alden, the Art, and the Fort Slocum. Was it one of these?

Hi, Roger. That would be great. I'll ask the Chamber of Commerce and see if I can find out, and I'll post back here next weekend.
