For those of you who need somewhere to leave your favourite car while you wander round Harrods.

Parking space on sale for £100k

The spaces are just behind the exclusive Harrods store
A parking space in an "exclusive" complex behind Harrods has gone on sale - for drivers with £100,000 ($185k)to spare.
The space in the secure parking area in Knightsbridge, west London is both "prestigious" and "fully facilitated" says Harrods Estates.

And its price has shot up since the 56 spaces were put on the market at £80,000 each last year.

But it is only open to people living within 400m of the spaces, which are available to rent at £5,000 a year.

The price does not appear to be putting people off - a Harrods Estates spokesman said there was a waiting list for spaces.

He said: "Harrods Estates is offering purchasers the opportunity to rent one or more of the exclusive car parking spaces located behind Harrods department store at 25 Basil Street.

"The spaces, which feature excellent security, are only available for residents living within a 400m radius of the car park, taking in parts of the London boroughs of Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea."

The space has been freed up with the sale of a flat in nearby Hans Crescent.

Newspaper reports that a man bought five spaces for his vintage cars and a woman bought a space for when her three-year-old son grows up were not confirmed.
