Is anyone having problems wtih WinShow PopUps?
It keeps instaliing itself while I'm online & renders IE6.0 inoperative despite what I have done to stop it. 8ad.com is responsible for this program & if it messes up IE6.0 one more time,Ill take legal action against 8ad.com by reporting them to federal authorities.

I doubt you can take legal action against this company, mainly because it doesnt exist. What you do most likely have though is the CoolWebSearch trojan on your machine. I would download CW Shredder which will eliminate that. Then you have to get yourself some adware software. Ad-Aware is a great program plus theres a few browsers that have built in blocking software. I use My IE2 and I havent seen a pop-up in months. Hope this helps.

If that doesnt work you can try this.

CoolWebSearch usually prevents you from accessing web pages without specifying a fully qualified URL by changing the default prefixes to point at their site.

If you can't get it removed, change the following keys in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\Prefixes\home to http://

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\Prefixes\www to http://
