Rant: Has anybody noticed that there have been more Intel Centrino ads than there are hot spots?

Before you know it, there will be more wireless technology ads than dark fibre buried in North America.

AT&T Cable (now Comcast) strung (stringed? strang?) fibre through my neighborhood about 5 years ago. It's still dark.

AT&T/Comcast now has digital tv/broadband internet just about complete in this area. It has been operational shortly after installation in most cases.
