Lucky L.A. residents! I don't ever remember having encountered a colour print before; the AFI catalogue says the film is in b&w with Technicolor sequences.

You've got me jealous, too.

I've seen The Phantom of the Opera with the Technicolor masked ball reel, but that's the only two-strip I've seen on film. It would be great if the restored Black Pirate could ever make it across the pond...
