Well we've had threads about desktop pictures and whatnot, so I am starting a lame-ass thread about pictures of your computer area. How you have your space around you set up tells as much if not more about you than your desktop picture. Here's mine:

 -

It kicks ass.

No, he's more subtle than that but only just barely. It's really about having more pictures of Joe.

Photoshop is amazing in the right hands....

BTW Joe: You really need to get some better speakers. Oh, and a better DVD player. Oh, and a printer. Oh, and better FACE!

I don't have a DVD player in that setup, Phil. You need to get some better eyes.

Am I the only one with a digital camera? Why are people replying without posting their pics? So far so lame, just like I predicted in my first post! [Smile]

Maybe this photo will help an insurance adjuster if my house gets robbed. Well, it might help them if they can get past the "creative use of cubist technique in the imagery."

Notable items in photo:

* Linotype Hell Saphir2 SCSI scanner (purchased for $1200 in 1998, now disappearing underneath a stack of junk that includes a malfunctioning Sony DVD player and a box of computer related garbage).

* Old PII 400MHz SCSI machine (which is probably only good to keep around if we want to hook up that expensive old scanner). May not happen since I have another scanner hooked up to the "good" machine. Big ass Anthrocart desk holds up PC in actual use. Stupid thing costs more than some computers. But hey, it holds a 12" X 12" Wacom tablet in front of a 21" Viewsonic P815 monitor weighing 75 pounds.

* I'm running an experient to see how long it takes for the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick to become hopelessly tangled with the Firewire cable, Memorex flash memory card reder and possibly the cordless phone base. I expect to come home one day and find the whole station being constricted to death by a maze of cables.

Hmmm. That would be a new definition of "joystick."

Probably true, but in your case it is interesting to note your desktop has a picture of one of Japan`s most famous porn stars. That does tell us a lot...

Yeah Ian! That movie is like 5 years old already!

And Michael, I KNEW you'd be the first to catch that one! I actually found it on a Google image search.
