Since projectionists are on our feet for a lot of the day, I was wondering what kind of footwear you all use. Also, what insoles are the best that you've found?

Are you gellin' like a felon? Or are you limpin' around upstairs?

Of course we all know that Joe rides from projector to projector in his little rascal electric chair [Razz]

Nope. It's the unicycle or nothin'! Here is what I wear. I don't know why anyone would wear anything fancy in a booth.

New Balance model 335. It's the only shoes that haven't screwed too bad with my tarsal coalition.

Joe: I have the same shoes... But mine don't stink! [Razz] [beer]

NB are cool too...They are super light-weight.

But I wouldn't wear Reeboks...too gay/dyke. [Eek!]

I wear steel toe black leather Mack truck brand work boots. As you can see I wear shoes until the sole fall off. I paid $40 for them well over a year ago and they still work. I wore them all day at sea world a few weekends ago and had no problems.

Yes I am Gelling like a felon. I use the DR scholls inserts. Typically they are size 13 and you trim them to whatever you need.

I wear Terra steel toes black oxfords
A projection room is defined up here as a machine room and the workers compensation people would probably have a fit if they saw what some people are wearing in the "industrial workplace"

I wear a pair of Cabela's brown oxford shoes with a Vibram sole. Had them for three years now and the leather has yet to crack or come appart on the seams. Since they're Gore-Tex, I spray them every six months with Campdry. Figure I can easily get another three years out of them as well.
