Deceitful Dentist Deceitful Dentist April 21, 2004 - 12:08PM A local man is facing serious charges Wednesday night. Police say he was running an illegal dental office out of his garage. Police arrested Jairo Herrera last night. Not only did he treat patients inside his garage he also ran a dental lab out of there too. Teeth molds were sitting next to a steak knife and a hammer and he used a toaster oven to sterilize equipment. News 12 caught up with Herrera after he posted bond. He says he tried several times to get a dentist license but never passed the test. He opened up shop anyway and says he knows that was wrong. Herrera says he made a mistake and he's going to pay for that. Herrera faces more than 15 years in prison if convicted. He says he made an income of 100 thousand dollars from the shady practice last year. Im not sure who the dumber one here. The patient or the dentist. I dont like peole working on my teeth to begin with but to allow some form there grarge to do the work. Forget that crap.
