Anybody have any photos of it, or know where I can find some? Also, when did it close, and what happened to its services, did they get put through the tunnels to New York Penn Station?

Penn Station is still there it's just under Madison Square Garden. New Jersey Transit is now using the old track the Pennsylvania railroad build, a lot of old buildings that were built by the Pennsylvania railroad are still existing along the route going in and out of Penn Station into New Jersey. the old station was a beautiful piece of architecture, even nice that the old Grand Central Station. Currently they are working on transforming the old United States post office across the street in to the new Penn station, since there is more and more train traffic running through the station that service not only New Jersey Transit but also Amtrack and the long Island RR. It was a great shame that they tore down the original building, but at the time it was demolish they thought that train travel was for the past and the automobile were the future, Boy how wrong they were with today's traffic congestion more and more people are using mass transit. Hope someone out there knows where pictures can be found.

There have been stories about the history of Penn Station on The History Channel and its affiliates, and these programs also included pics of the actual demolition.

In todays society, that would never have been allowed to ocur, as the building would definately have become an historic landmark.

The primary Tucson station has just been restored. Unfortunately UP tore down the old SP coaling station that was a Tucson landmark. There was also a water-tower just north of Tucson on the way to Phoenix, but I am unsure if it is still there.

THE book to look for is Penn Station: Its Tunnels and Side Rodders by Fred Westing, published by Superior Press in 1978. 183 pages
added info: It's a reprint of a 1912 edition of the history and construction of the terminal and approaches. The 1978 edition adds several chapters by Westing on the side rod drive electic locomotives used in the underground approaches.
There's a nice big picture of the concourse in Railway Stations: Masterpeces of Architecture by Charles Sheppard(Smithbooks,1996). See also Station to Station bt Steven Parissien (Phaidon, 1997)
