Gene Higginbotham,I wanted to let you know. He went back into the hospital late last week where the doctors told him the chemo was not working and his body was rejecting it. The family was told he had three months. Within the next few days the time frame went from three months to three weeks to three days and then hours. He went down hill so so fast. He passed away Tuesday afternoon. The funeral is Saturday morning.

I recieved this email late yesterday afternoon Friday July 16th.

Rest In Peace, Gene, you've been a good friend to the industry,
you will be miss, but never forgotton.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. It's terrible how fast his chances waned. While I didn't know him very well, he was certainly a friend to the nation's drive-ins; continuing to manufacture speaker and lighting parts for many years.

May he rest in peace.

[Frown] So sorry to hear of his death. I always enjoyed seeing him at trade shows.
