Apparently vanilla , rum and raisin and mint choc chip no longer appeal to the ice cream connoiseur .

According to this BBC report Cow tongue and garlic [puke] are the flavours of the day. [thumbsdown]

Bob, surely it can't be any worse than those milkshakes you made from Rachel's hamster.

I thought you would be open to new ideas in the New World!

OK I'll do my best to stop the flow as long as you don't send chittlins, grits and country gravy over here [puke]

Garlic-flavo(u)r Ice Cream is nothing new. They've been making it for years up in Gilroy, California .. the self-proclaimed "Garlic Capitol of the World". [Big Grin] Perhaps yours is imported from there?

Can't comment on the Horse Flesh, tho. [puke]

When it's 114 degrees in the shade, like it is here, ice cream
of ANY flavor will do just fine! [thumbsup]

The Stinking Rose in San Francisco serves Gilroy's garlic ice cream.

Polly Ann Ice Cream serves durian ice cream.

San Franscisco's "The Stinking Rose" is acutally quite a good restraunt that prepares dishes that I have yet to see in other restraunts.

Went there a few times when I was stationed at Travis AFB.

One of their most famous...is their garlic appitizer!

They take whole garlic cloves and slow roast them over-night in olive-oil and butter. They serve it up in a little pot with freash Italian bread! Talk about good-eats!...along with some cianti! [thumbsup] [beer]

I hear chianti also goes well with liver and fatha beans.

In Yorkshire, you can also get baked hedgehog, is that right?

Odd coincidence: I am currently editing a documentary wherein "Horseflesh" lumber (Lysiloma sabicu) is discussed.

I think I'll stick to ginger, red bean, green tea, or tofu mochi ice cream for now.

The Stinking Rose in LA is great too. I assume it's the same people. We used to have The Garlic Cafe here, but it's since gone tango uniform.
