This may be crazy, but has anyone thought of using a grain elevator as a musical/audio instrument? of course .
see this site called www.silophone.net you can download & even hear wav & mp3 files on the site, plus you can call then & hear your own voice as well.

Of course. Everyone's done that. I think it has become a standard instrument of most orchestras these days too.

Oh PULEEZE! That ain't nothing! My uncle is a musicologist as well as a geologist interested in sedimentary and metamorphic rock categories.

He once conducted an avalanche in C minor.

The site Matthew suggested appears to be another Windoze-only proposition [thumbsdown] . On my Mac, it's as mute as, well, a grain silo. I've tried Firefox, Safari, even Internet Exploiter and the site just wouldn't pipe up. [Confused] [Frown]

I think the problem has to do with the site employing RealAudio (and, yes, I upgraded to the latest version of RealPlayer, which claims to only be compatible with the Safari browser). I've had better luck recently with, of all things, Winblows Media streaming, although IMHO the site would have worked much better with QuickTime streaming.

So would you say he got his rocks off? [Big Grin]

After being crushed by the rocks, it is then apparent that it ONLY could have been done in a minor key ... since the third, sixth, and seventh degrees of the scale were all FLAT.

Okay, never mind that one ... it's late.
