A friend of mine bought the newest 2-CD 'Black & White' game.
We ran the installaton disk until it tells you to put in Disk 2 (data disk). When you put in disk2, it reads it for about 10 seconds & spits it back out.

Now, we tried on two seperate Macs running current versions of OSX, both failed. Next, we brought the game back to the store & got a new one; same problem occured with those disks too.

I also tried to make a copy of the data disk & run that one, but had the same problem. (NOTE: You can put the data disk in when you aren't in the insall & it reads it fine & you are able to access the data)

Do you think there is just a batch of bad Data disks out there or is it something to do with our computers? Should my friend just give up and get a new game?

I'm not a MAC users and so unfortunately I can't help you with this issue. I have to say though that if your friend ends up getting a new game Doom 3 kicks much ass [thumbsup] .
