I hope to be coming over for a couple of weeks next month. I should be going to three film screenings while I'm there:

On Saturday the 16th at 11:00 a.m. 'The General' at the Lafayette, Suffern, New York.

On Friday the 29th at 7:30 p.m. 'Forbidden Planet' at the Union County Arts Center, Rahway, New Jersey.

On Saturday the 30th at 2:30 p.m. 'Nosferatu', also at the UCAC.

I haven't been able to find out if the Loew's Jersey are screening anything during that period.

Anyone else going to be there?

Don't forget to go by Reverend Ike's (the former Loew's 175th) this time!

I'm normally only there for about four or five days; since i'll be there longer this time, I may have time to go. This may well be my last visit.

The Loews Jersey's 75th birthday is Tuesday Sept 28th, and they are planning to run something on that date, along with films on the following weekend, Oct. 1-3.

The Friends Of The Loews still do not have their lease with the city for the theatre, which makes it rather difficult for them to make long range plans. Hopefully, this will be resolved before then.
