With the advent of Multiplexes, theatres shyed away from detail oriented programming. Short subjects and cartoons which were part of the theatre industry until the 1960s were slowly replaced with tv commericals; Beautiful theatres were replaced with a non-descript black box rooms. All the opulence of the hayday of theatres are gone. Or are they? The Union Coutny Arts Center is proud to introduce the Movie Palace ExperienceŽ. With each movie, you are slipped back into time. From the restored auditorum to the restored Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ played before each movie, The Union County Arts Center is the only theatre in New Jersey that recreates every detail of a by gone era. Included in each program are Vintage Trailers and Short Subjects, some that audiences haven't seen in 50 to 60 years. And don't forget to see the vintage poster display in the lobby. Come join us and bring the family for a time you won't forget, The Movie Palace Experience, ONLY at the Union County Arts Center. Remember, it's not just a movie, it's an experience!
