Hello everybody,

Today the sad news reached me that Phillipe Laude, who's former screening room you can see in the Picture gallery of this site, has committed suicide last week.
Phillipe was a friend and vivid 35mm collector and his knowledge of
35mm and 16mm projectors will be deeply missed here in Belgium.

Rest In Peace Phillipe ...

I am very, very sad to hear about this. I had quite a number of e-mails back and forth with Phillipe concerning the Phillips FP-56 and Bauer projectors. I came close to buying an FP-56 from him this past summer. Alas... it was the shipping problem that prevented this from happening.

R.I.P. Phillipe

Yes, I agree... it is indeed very sad when anyone takes their own life.

He seemed to present a calm and successful and happy-person image.

Having dealt with many Hollywood "street" and gay kids that have decided life is not worth it, it always saddens me and I cry no matter what their age.
