Did the new teaser for Pixar's "Cars" (now available on the web) remind anyone else of the 1952 cartoon "One Cab's Family" directed by Tex Avery?

I'm sure a lot of the collectors here have it on Laserdisc. [Wink] Here's the IMDb link for it:

http://imdb.com/title/tt0044996

The comments say Avery's cartoon is a remake of an older Friz Freeling cartoon. I would imagine the makers of "Cars" probably sat down at some point and watched both shorts.

I wonder what the 35mm availablility of that cartoon is? It might show some respect to nostalgia if you programed that with the feature... when it's finally released in late 05.
