I would indeed say that you suck but I'd at least need a frame of reference, to which your example of me has none. Anyway:

1) No. That is stupid. Internet porn is free and better if you need that kind of stuff.

2) I probably have at a friend's house.

3) The Q&A is funny (is that the Advisor?)

4) Lame. I hate airbrushed pictures. You've seen one issue of Playboy you've seen them all.

Jason, did the starting of this thread have anything to do with tonights episode of the Simpson's?

I dont subscribe or read. You can do a quick search on yahoo and get all the pictures, too softcore anyway to use them for anything.

1) Subsribe to Playboy:
Nope. I had a subscription back in the late 1980's, and have some valuable back issues in the attic (I have the Vanna White one).

2) Actually READ the articles
Sometimes. But I usually went straight for the nudie pics. The second thing I would try to find was illustrations and cartoons made by any of my teachers or other members of the faculty at School of Visual Arts (guys like Harvey Kurtzman and Gahan Wilson were frequent contributors).

3) What are your favorite articles?
Once in awhile they would have a decent interview, such as this one featuring an interview with Robin Williams. Pretty entertaining. His riffs on John Houseman and the Juliard experience were funny as hell. Sometimes their features on new electronics or other gadgets were interesting.

4) Feel about the magazine, in general...
Playboy used to seem hip and timely, but I think it has lost its relevance over the past decade. It also started getting a bit creepy with the centerfolds having birthdays several years or a decade younger than mine. I guess if I picked up an issue now, Miss November would be young enough to be my daughter. Not good.

I know I'm gonna get flamed for this any second now, but: [Big Grin]

1: Used to, many years ago....;
2: Loved the articles! Read most of 'em; [Smile]
3: Loved the letters and humor articles the most;
4: Overall thought it was a quality mag.

But I really loved the cartoons in Hustler with the granny who had tits that looked like atomic bombs... [Big Grin]

And no, it wasn't a "phase" I was going through..... [Roll Eyes]

Edit: In five, four, three, two, one.......

This summer I found about 20 old 1970's Playboys at a garage sale for super cheap. I bought them because a)one had a David Bowie article and b) I was hoping to find some 1970's porn movie reviews in there (I somewhat collect 1970's porn movie posters).
Now my boyfriend has them all. No big loss to me since i'm sure that if you see one bush you've seen them all [Smile]

No, some bushes are trimmed differently than others or are missing altogther! Some engulf the entire underside of the woman something fierce (I haven't encountered that yet, fortunately). But still, Playboy's depiction of women has become boring.

Also, Tivo sucks. You have to subscribe. Better to build your own PVR. Cheaper in the long run and ten million times better.

I used to subscribe. I quit in probably the mid '90s. Although I like a good nude picture as much as anyone, they did begin to all look pretty much alike after a while. I actually got to where I would pass over them because they got sort of monotonous.

I really did enjoy the articles. The Advisor was my favorite thing to read, followed by the music and movie reviews. The interviews were very good. I remember reading the one where Jimmy Carter admitted "undressing women in his mind" or whatever it was.

I guess my favorite pictorial was the Jessica Hahn one. Since she was supposedly a religious person, I guess the "forbidden fruit" angle attracted me. (Plus she WAS gorgeous.)

Haven't looked at an issue in years, but I'm sure it's still a quality mag if you like that sort of mag. It sure beats the hell out of Hustler. I always felt Playboy was classy, where Hustler just felt dirty.
