I am thinking of upgrading my burner and would like to try one. Requires special LightScribe media. However my Epson R300 printer does a magnificent job of printing on cds. Apparently HP is behind this technology. According to the FAQ on the website, you need specific Lightscribe-enabled discs and drives. Also, according to the FAQ, it only burns in grayscale. It seems that it could be a straightforward process to make them full color by adding different colored dye layers that the laser burns off sequentially... like when I scratch the emulsion off of a movie to see the colorful squiggly lines!  |  IP: Logged
