Thanks, Mark...those were very entertaining.

I have never been a Bose fan...the stuff is just too expensive. Not only that, they don't sound very good.

I love the ads out now for the Wave Radio that advertise that they have an additional half octave of response. I'd check that with the specs, but, on the Bose web site, when you request specifications, you get its size and weight only!

I have always thought that Bose was made more for form than function. I always think of the 901 speaker. If you put it in just the right place in your room, and hit it with enough power, it didn't sound too bad; but for a lot less money you could get a speaker that sounded better, did not require huge amounts of power, and wasn't so picky about where you put it. At one time Richs sold the 901, and their outlet store always had a pile of Bose 901s that were brought back by people who found out that they just don't sound very good.
