Who you like is very much a matter of taste. Perhaps it´s a super pro brought to Hollywood from the theater stage, or an actor you like because he/she has a special "style" that you enjoy. How about listing your 5 favorite male and female actors? Here´s my list: John Wayne Spencer Tracy Charles Laughton Boris Karloff Laurel & Hardy Bette Davis Margaret Rutherford Angela Lansbury Katharine Hepburn Gena Rowlands I´m not trying to break my own rules, but as Laurel & Hardy was a team I count them as one. And what a team! Allen Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1078 From: Checotah, Oklahoma Registered: Jul 2002 posted 01-24-2005 03:06 PM                     While I grew up and entered this business in the John Wayne, Spencer Tracy, Jimmy Stewart, Doris Day, Rock Hudson era and loved all those and others dearly I have to admit that todays crop of actors are better actors than were those back then. Back the when we went to see John Wayne he was always John Wayne. The same for Jimmy, Rock and the rest of them and that's why we went to see them. But today's actors can run circles around them (I'm not talking about the rap or rock artists turned "actor" bunch of personalities).
