I know we talked about this the last time it happened, but gas prices here in the Northwest are outrageously high.
I made a triip from Seattle to Portland yesterday and in my boredom I checked a few station signs along the freeway.
Seattle's highest was $2.45 regular unleaded, which I'm paying now. Somewhere around Chehalis it was listed as $2.55 per for regular unleaded. Portland's high was $2.35 per.
On top of this, our dear legislators want to hike our gas tax over the next few years.
My wages are not going up that much to support a $25.00 tankful.
What are prices like in your area?
I'm sure we'll hear from some Canadians with their even higher prices!

Up here we're at around $2.30 or so...which really sucks since I happen to drive an SUV [Mad] Needless to say I drop about $50 each trip to the gas station now! Not cool.

This Film-Yak thread, dormant until recently, chronicled the price of gas during the last runup coinciding with the recent war in Iraq. All I can say is that period was nothing compared to what's going on nowadays... [Mad]
