So Richard, did you select this car so the girls will flock to it and whoever is driving it? (A very common scenario.)

Aww yeah, it's Bandit time! Lucky guy, looks in nice shape, much better than mine. How much did it cost ya? Mine was originally that color as well (its a 79 though) but the previous owner painted it black.

I always thought that Pontiacs were cars made in France. The name "Pontiac" just sounds so [forum policy prevents me from saying politically incorrect term]!

Also, you have AUTOMATIC transmission. Real men drive manual transmissions.

Ohh, the memories... I had a deep blue Trans-Am that I bought new from the factory in 1980 (back when projectionists still made good money).

And, yes, it was a chick magnet. It irked me at how shallow some girls could be. I figured, if they couldn't give me a second look when I was toolin' around in my '74 Torino, then to hell with them after I got some money and a nice car. That, I reserved for the true blue only.

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen one of those Pontiacs with the thunder chicken on the hood, slushbox transmission or no slushbox. Now where's the mullet? [Big Grin]

My sister actually was magnetized by a guy with a TA looking just like Richard's. (Well except it was blue.) Unfortunately he turned out to be a crook (stole $15,000 from the place where he worked) and wound up losing the car AND my sister when he was busted.

Yes, but mainly guys have been oogling over it. A few girls have complimented it though. I am getting a lot more attention around town.

Ahh, yes. BUT I have a LOT more power because of the wonderful invention called the Torque Converter. [Big Grin]

No kidding, I've had the car for a week now and filled up twice! I drive about 34 miles round trip to work and back, a tank lasts about 4-5 days. Good for the environment huh? [Eek!]
