The AFI/Silver is NOT nitrate rated. That was a decision that was made long ago. The AFI Theatre at the Kennedy Center (now closed) was indeed Nitrate rated and ran nitrate films...there is a picture of the result of a nitrate fire there floating about in the internet.  |  IP: Logged Leo Enticknap Film God Posts: 7474 From: Loma Linda, CA Registered: Jul 2000 posted 10-17-2005 07:08 AM                        Agreed with Steve. This presumably relates to a thread on the AMIA e-mail list, which was started last week by someone else (i.e. neither myself nor John Pytlak - can't remember who now) and which turned into a more general 'projecting nitrate' thread.
