Although it's almost two months belated... Happy Michaelmas! (The feast of Saint Michael.) Where you're supposed to eat a goose, we eat a turkey. Fortunately, the heavy "lake effect" snow was south of us, and didn't affect the drive. I don't even know why its celebrated to be honest. What you giving thanks for? We don't celebrate it here in Australia nor other US stuff like Halloween (that is something to do with pumpkins isn't it?) Here in Australia the big family days are Easter and Christmas day. Boxing day is for the cricket. We also have a number of other public holidays eg Australia day, Queens Birthday, Labour Day etc but Easter and Christmas are the big ones. I do like the idea of an excuse to eat turkey though. Maybe we should have a National Australia Turkey eating day? Regards Peter  |  IP: Logged
