I've been away & incommunicado for the last week or so, & emerged Saturday to hear a radio program "remembering Wilson Pickett", who died on January 19th.

An incredible performer and songwriter, plus a fun, unpredictable firecracker. Already the world seems a little less like a loud, noisy party without him, & we are at least 1,000 Dances short.
