One of Hollywood's most respected sound re-rerecording mixers and three-time Academy Award winner has died. He passed away January 21st., he was 80 years old.

Knudson spent most of his 50 year career at Todd-AO sound.

Had the pleasure of meeting Buzz about 1982 when I was visiting a friend that worked with him at Todd-AO. He was a gentleman and meeting and talking with him was an absolute pleasure. I'm sure that he will be missed by all his co-workers, friends, and family.

Indeed, such a great talent. I'd like to have met him, he's one of those fellows I could just speak with and absorb like a sponge.

I appreciated seeing him in "The Buzz and Bill Show," as I'd noticed his name in credits for years.
