Posts: 1168 From: Corpus Christi, TX United States Registered: Jan 2004 posted 04-01-2006 11:38 AM                     Man killed in shooting outside movie theater April 1, 2006, 01:11 AM CST CORPUS CHRISTI - A 24-year-old man is dead after being shot outside the Tinseltown Theater on SPID late Friday night. Witnesses said around 10 p.m., several shots were fired along the sidewalk in front of the theater. At least one bullet hit the 24-year-old Hispanic male in the head. The victim was rushed to Christus Spohn Hospital-Memorial where he was pronounced dead around 12:15 a.m. According to CCPD Lt. Rocky Vipon, five suspects all believed to be juveniles had been detained for questioning. None of the suspects have been charged with the shooting. They were all captured in a field and industrial park located behind the theater. The DPS helicopter assisted in the search. Tinseltown remained open during the incident and the theater's manager said they would be open on Saturday.
