If one hand claps and there's no one around to hear it, does it make a sound and, if so, what does it sound like? [Razz]

L.A. Firefighters normally work 24hrs on duty then 24hrs off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 96 off....then that schedule repeats. Since they "live" in the station, they do watch DVDs on their on-duty free time.

Many times when the movie starts, someone will yell out "MOVIE" to let others know that the movie is starting. AFAIK, no one has been arrested so far.

Hope that helps, Don. [Wink]

(...and I thought Joe or Cory would get the award for the most useless question...) [Razz] [evil]

I believe "movie in a crowded firehouse" is an old Gallagher joke. He's talking about how screwed up society is and says something like, "I've started asking myself questions, ethical questions, like 'Is it OK to yell movie in a crowded firehouse?' or religious questions, like 'Does the pope shit in the woods?'"

The whole routine is on his first and only comedy album, which is criminally out of print.

"Have you ever gotten any rest in a rest room?"

"Why do we drive on park ways, and park in drive ways?"

Couldn't help adding a couple of my favorit Gallagher (if I remember correctly) goodies. Come to think of it, the sledge-a-matic could be a usefull tool in the booth.

Why do they call 'em buildings when they're already done building 'em? Oughta call'em "builts." (Or "crumblings.")

Do you have to brush your teeth during a fast? And why do they call it a fast when it goes so damn slow?

If your knees bent the other way, what would a chair look like?

...and my favorite Gallagher line:

Wherever you leak, the world hangs a bucket.
